ICI Hires Cynthia Pullom as Director, Financial Services Policy
Washington, DC, April 30, 2018—The Investment Company Institute (ICI) has named Cynthia Pullom as director, financial services policy. She will report to Chief Government Affairs Officers and Co-Heads Donald C. Auerbach and Dean R. Sackett III.
Before joining ICI, Pullom served as chief policy counsel for US Senator Christopher Murphy (D-CT) on matters related to financial services, tax, judiciary, and telecom. She has also worked for Representative Terri Sewell (D-AL) as legislative counsel on financial services, tax, and judiciary issues.
“Cynthia has extensive experience with the type of leading-edge financial services policies that are critical to ICI’s member firms and the 100 million shareholders they represent,” said Auerbach. Sackett added, “Cynthia will be a tremendous asset for ICI’s policy team, and we are very fortunate to have her.”
Before her Capitol Hill service, Pullom served as an associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in political science; she also holds a JD from Harvard Law School, where she served as an editor for the Harvard Law and Policy Review.
